Payments Integration

SAP Business One + Stripe Integration

Connect Stripe to SAP Business One so payments, refunds, and payouts post themselves — no manual entry of incoming payments, no month-end spreadsheet matching Stripe deposits to invoices.

What Does This Integration Do?

Stripe processes the payment the instant a customer pays, but that event has to reach your books before it means anything to finance. Without a sync, someone is exporting Stripe's payout report and manually applying each charge against the right SAP Business One invoice — and untangling the Stripe processing fee from the gross amount every time.

This integration listens for Stripe webhook events — successful charges, refunds, disputes, and payouts — and applies them directly in B1: incoming payments against open invoices, credit memos for refunds, and a payout reconciliation that matches Stripe's bundled bank deposit back to the individual transactions inside it.

What Syncs, and Which Way

Most Stripe + B1 projects sync the same core events. We adjust field mappings and account splits to match your chart of accounts and currencies.

Charges

Stripe → SAP B1

Successful payments applied as incoming payments against open invoices

Refunds & Disputes

Stripe → SAP B1

Credit memos for refunds; disputes flagged against the original invoice

Payouts

Stripe → SAP B1

Bundled bank deposits matched line-by-line against underlying charges

Fees

Stripe → SAP B1

Processing fees split to a dedicated expense account, net-to-gross tie-out

Invoices

SAP B1 → Stripe

Open A/R invoices pushed as Stripe payment links or hosted invoices

Subscriptions

Stripe → SAP B1

Recurring billing cycles reflected as scheduled B1 invoices, where used

How We Build It

Stripe exposes webhooks for real-time events and a REST API for on-demand lookups. We pair these with the SAP B1 Service Layer or DI API depending on your B1 version.

ApproachWhat it isBest forWatch out for
Stripe WebhooksReal-time event notifications (charge, refund, payout)Posting payments the moment they happenNeeds a reliable listener with retry handling
Stripe REST APIOn-demand lookups of charges, balance transactions, payoutsReconciliation runs, backfills, dispute detailRate limits on high-volume accounts
SAP B1 Service Layer / DI APIPosts incoming payments, credit memos, journal entriesApplying Stripe events directly to B1 documentsPayment means and account mapping must be set up correctly first
iPaaS connectorsPre-built templates (Zapier, Make, n8n)Simple one-way payment logging, going live fastFee-splitting and payout matching usually still need custom logic

Where a template usually falls short: generic automation tools can log a Stripe charge into B1, but matching a bundled payout back to dozens of individual transactions — with fees split out correctly — is where most templated builds stop and custom logic starts.

How Much Does It Cost?

A SAP Business One + Stripe integration typically costs between $2,500 and $12,000 to implement, depending on transaction volume and whether payout reconciliation is included.

ApproachImplementationOngoing
Basic payment logging (charges only)$2,500 – $5,000Support retainer only
Charges, refunds & fee splitting$5,000 – $9,000Support retainer only
Full payout reconciliation, multi-currency$8,000 – $12,000+Support retainer only, no platform fee

The number moves most on transaction volume, whether you process in multiple currencies, and whether full payout-to-transaction reconciliation is in scope. We quote a fixed price after a scoping call, so you know the cost before we write a line of code.

How Long Does It Take?

The biggest schedule risk is an unmapped chart of accounts for fees and currencies — we confirm that mapping before any code is written.

2–3 weeks

Basic payment logging

Charges posted as B1 incoming payments, single currency.

4–6 weeks

Full reconciliation build

Payout matching, fee splitting, refunds and disputes, multi-currency.

What Does Our Integration Process Look Like?

Every engagement follows the same five stages — you get a fixed-price scope and a mapping sheet you sign off before we build.

1

Discover

We map your Stripe account structure, currencies, and chart of accounts.

2

Map

We document every event, direction, account split, and error rule before building.

3

Build

We implement against a B1 test company and Stripe's test-mode API keys.

4

Test

We run real payment scenarios end to end — refunds, disputes, and bundled payouts.

5

Support

We monitor after go-live, with alerting, logging, and a named contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

We use the Stripe API and webhooks (charge, refund, and payout events) alongside the SAP B1 Service Layer or DI API to post incoming payments, credit memos, and bank deposits automatically.

Yes. Stripe's processing fee is split from the gross charge and posted to a dedicated expense account, so the B1 incoming payment matches the net amount actually deposited.

Yes. Refunds generate a matching B1 credit memo, and disputes (chargebacks) can be flagged against the original invoice so nothing falls through during reconciliation.

Yes. A Stripe payout often bundles many charges into one bank deposit; we reconcile the payout against the underlying transactions so the bank statement ties out without manual matching.

Most projects run $2,500 to $12,000 depending on transaction volume, currencies, and whether subscription billing is in scope. See the cost table above for a full breakdown.

Yes. Rescue work is a large share of our practice — including finance teams stuck manually matching Stripe payouts to B1 payments every month.

Ready to Connect Stripe to SAP Business One?

Every payout without a sync is another manual reconciliation and another delayed close. A scoped integration removes that work permanently — and you'll know the exact cost before we start.
